Hostel Reviews - Germany

Hostel: Hostel Sleepy Lion

Address: Kathe-Kolwitz-Str 3, 04109 Leipzig

City: Leipzig

Comments: Hello!  My name is Peter and I am a backpacker hostel manager has been 'on the road' travelling Europe for a year now.  I would like to tell you about an excellent hostel that I have discovered, which many of the major travel guides have overlooked due to its recent opening.  'Hostel Sleepy Lion', located in Leipzig, in Eastern Germany, is of an extremely high standard and turns the art of backpacking into a luxury.  Located a short walk from the central train station and the old town centre, the hostel includes such facilities as a modern, fully equipped bathroom in every room, which in turn are small and comfortable dorms of 4, 6 or 8 people.  There is a bar, dining room, cheap and reliable internet access (an unbeatable 2 EURO! per hour) on a very fast connection, a pay telephone, tourist information service, and 24-hour reception.  Finally, there is also automatic sensor lights outside all the rooms, and lockers for valuables within.  I can't forget to mention the excellent staff, which are the nicest and most helpful hostel workers that I have ever met during my travels.  They can always find time for a chat or help out in any way they can.  'Hostel Sleepy Lion' is small and cosy with a capacity of only 60 people with a second (as yet unnamed) property opening nearby very soon that will hold another 80 people, and include a self-catering kitchen.  Prices start at a low 13 EURO per night, and for further information please visit the hostels website at http://www.hostel-leipzig.de or e-mail info@hostel-leipzig.de.  Happy travels!!

Overall Grade: A - Excellent
