Sleepless in Arlington

Ok, I’m not really trying to go to sleep…yet. Lately, on work nights, I haven’t been able to fall asleep until about 1am. This gives me about 6.5 hours sleep which is not a heck of a lot. A bit of ice or freezing rain is falling outside on top of the inch of snow we got. It’ll make for a slippery commute in the morning. I brought my laptop home this weekend thinking I’d do some performance reviews, however the motivation wasn’t there.

I’ve started reading Ed Buryn’s Vagabonding in Europe and North America (1973). It’s definetly living up to the words “underground travel classic” which are imprinted on the cover. I learned about it from quotes which are in the 21st century equivalent, Vagabonding by Rolf Potts which was very inspirational in it’s own right.
