You would think Paris Hilton would learn her lesson already. I’m half tempted to pay the $40 to access her “storage locker” of journals, photos and videos, however I’m in hardcore saving mode right now. Plus, given enough time, I’m sure the videos will start to appear on file sharing software. I haven’t done much downloading of music, let alone videos lately. I get my steady diet of modern pop/rock/punk music on MTV, and also have enough music and mp3′s to last me an eternity. Heck, I’ve had Bob Marley’s Legend in my car’s CD changer for 2 years!
I’m glad to see Fallout Boy keeps putting out good music, like this single off their new album. Good stuff, and they seem to have a nice sense of humor about the whole schebang. I’ve completed 18 of 21 performance reviews at work. Tomorrow I’ll wrap them up. There’s still more to it though – having my boss review them, entering recommended merit increases, then meeting with everyone I reviewed. It’ll be the second quarter before we literally close the door on performance reviews for 2006, let alone establish goals and objectives for everyone in 2007!
I simplified the navigation on GoBackpacking.com, replacing the fancy java graphical buttons with simple text links. It should greatly increase page loading times, which can decrease the bounce rate (the chance someone will leave your site without clicking viewing at least one other page first). My friend that works for Heavy said he may be able to hook me up with someone to redesign my title graphic, which I would like to adapt for use on apparrel. The current one has been around 6 or so years, and was designed by my former roomate and friend Charlie. He moved over to China 2 years ago, and has been bumming around there and SE Asia ever since, working as a DJ mostly. He stopped blogging back in Nov 2005, somewhat abruptly. I suppose after a year abroad, when you start getting comfortable in your new environment, the desire to keep writing can fade. It’s worth checking out though, it covers his time in Cali (after growing up in VA) leading up to his trip across the Pacific, and then his first year in China. What I admire about his journey is that I think it was his first trip outside the USA, and he appears to be in no hurry to return!
Returning to my friend’s company for a moment, Heavy re-launched their site today. Their site allows you to embed the videos on websites and blogs – and it’s supposed to be super easy. So I tried to post an awesome skate vid with some BIG stairs, and a nice kickflip tailslide on a handrail to cap it off, but it’s not working. I’ll keep at it.
