My Monthly Business Trips to Richmond

Virginia Crossings Resort

This past May, I began a 6-month, 16-day leadership training course offered by my employer. I spend 2-4 days each month at the Virginia Crossings Resort just north of Richmond, Virginia. Since I’m spending so much time down there this year, I thought I’d snap a photo to share.

These are my first business trips, so I’ve finally had a reason to use my corporate credit card. I’ve learned that business travel tends to involve a lot of eating. We’ve gone out for everything from deep dish pizza to steaks. Last Thursday night, when we went bowling in the evening, I scored an all time high of 157.

At last week’s session, we also learned a little more about the full day Challenge Discovery program we would be doing in September. Basically, it’s a series of physical and mental activities we’ll be completing in teams. I’ve always wanted to do a team building exercise of this nature. If it involves helmets, ropes, and liability release forms, you know it’ll be fun!
