Without access to the internet, people guarding me, and Warren waiting, and only British Airways that flys predominantly to London, I was really limited! I guess you were pretty jetlagged - the best solution would have been a full economy fare which could be refunded I think you got unlucky: if it was really official policy Qatar wouldn’t have let you on the plane: and you would have been refused entry and Qatar Airways would have had to remove you at their cost: that’s why the airlines tend to be stricter on this than some countries, notably thailand.
