Definitely worth a visit to Switzerland once, but the cost was so high, I probably won’t be back for a long time!

It must be great to visit a place like this. This pictures so look great; food looks delicious, though I guess the prices are high. I would love to experience the train ride through this gorgeous snowy landscape. I guess the view is terrific.

What an amazingly classic Swiss alps experience! That pasta bowl looks delicious- how fast did the rotating resturant move? I’d be worried about it upsetting my stomach to be moving around like that.

I never got above the snowline in Nepal so the perspective on the Swiss Alps was a first for me. Amazing, though visibility was limited by the clouds. In Nepal, the mountains are so big, even if you’re at 4,000 meters, you’re still looking up another 4,000 meters. But from talking to Stefan who has spent his life in Switz, and trekked to Everest Base Camp, he joked that it wasn’t too different. The views of the Alps in New Zealand were nice, but it wasn’t winter so there wasn’t as much snow cover. The Franz Joseph glacier is so unique though….doesn’t compare with anything else I’ve seen.

I rememeber staying at Balmer 10 years ago! good times! It was packed in the summer and I met so many cool people. How did the alps compare to the himalayas and the Southern Alps of New Zealand?
