I was three days away from boarding a similar train as in this video from Chengdu, China to Lhasa! And then Tibetans staged historic riots last March in advance of the Olympics, and I was all out of luck. I’m not bitter. Nope. Not me.
OK, yes I am! This video highlights the cool journey I had hoped to be a top highlight of my trip around the world.

This is the first time I heard of this train. I am happy that you posted this because on my list is actually to go to Tibet and see Mount Everest. I was wondering how its done. Too bad you couldn’t go but you can always make time and do it later of course.
