I have great admiration for people willing to travel long distances by bicycle. I learned about Paul’s 10,000 mile journey around the United States in 2007 via Twitter (hey, it really IS useful!). His was a charity ride to raise money for children with dyslexia and learning differences. If you enjoy it, be sure to check out the associated blog too.
