Win A Free Trip To Colombia – Entries Due Sept 21

Ned Hepburn of the very manly Manolith blog will be traveling to Colombia within a month to experience the country’s best, and YOU could easily join him.  I say that with confidence because the time between when the contest was announced and the deadline for entry is very tight.  You won’t have to wait 8 months to find out if you’re the winner.  In fact, applications are due September 21, 2009 and the winners will be announced a mere three days later on September 24, 2009!

Proexport invites you to a magical ten-day adventure in Colombia – all expenses paid – for getting to know and enjoy our culture, gastronomy, and the best landscapes while embarking on ‘The Experience of Your Life.

You may become one of our visitors and travel to Colombia to live ‘The Experience of Your Life’, a one-hour-long docu-reality show that will present the adventures of six foreign couples on a magical tour of four regions in the country. The program will be broadcast by NATGEO in November, 2009. You may participate if you were born and presently live in any of the following countries: Ecuador, Venezuela, Perú, Brazil, the United States or Spain.

If you are selected to travel to Colombia, you will get to know Bogotá, the Café Triangle, Cartagena de Indias, and Santa Marta. Your journey will be guided by the program’s producers for you to enjoy the particularities, idiosyncrasy, and flavor of each location.

Don’t let the word “couples” throw you off.  They will be comprised of one blogger and one contest winner from each of the 6 aforementioned countries.  You can see the bloggers from the other 5 countries at Manolith.  I think it sounds like a lot of fun – being filmed by National Geographic?  Yes, please!

Learn more about how to participate on Colombia’s official tourism portal, where you can also read the Terms & Conditions, and enter to win!

If I can’t go, the next best thing would be to see one of my dear readers win!

Good luck!

  • I live in Colombia, can I still apply for the free trip (no need to pay for a plane ticket :))?
  • Hm, bummer that Germans can't apply! I'm feeling a little bit left out :)
  • Yep, guess you guys aren't a target market. Come to think of it, I didn't meet as many Germans in Colombia as I did EVERYWHERE else on the globe! :)
