In keeping with this week’s Friday Flashback, I’m presenting a 32-second, 360-degree view of a typical street in the older part of Kathmandu. It was sensory overload.

Great video. Thanks for sharing that. It looks like a way rustic Mumbai. What's up with the big yellow cage and the guy in orange standing in front of the dog? Monk and companion? That's beautiful. What inspiration!
May I request some commentary on what we're actually seeing?
It must have taken a WHILE to upload it to youtube. Did you do it in Nepal or when you got back?
If you have more, keep them coming def!

I think the big yellow cage is more of a fence, and it is surrounding a shrine. The walk I did passed by many, many religious buildings and temples, and people paying homage and laying down fresh flowers as offerings.
Not sure about the guy in orange!
I uploaded this particular video last week from home, but I did pick out a few videos to upload while in Nepal, and yes, it took forever. Too long to make it worthwhile, and a lot of the time the videos would time out on YouTube, though I think that site has improved in the past 1.5 years.
I can't remember where in Kathamandu I shot this video clip, but it was on a walk from the tourist district of Thamel to Durbar Square, which is a very old part of the city.
