Where the Hell is Matt? (2008) from Matthew Harding on Vimeo.

____

I just came across this video Matt Harding put together last year.  I have to admit, he’s really played this whole viral dancing badly thing to travel (at the expense of Stride Gum) quite well.

You can find out the whole backstory and see the various videos at his blog, Where The Hell Is Matt?

You've got to admire what he did with that last video. I mean you can only dance so often before it get's boring. I love the bits with the Indian women and the African kids. The outtakes video with his comments on it is pretty funny too.

Yes, I begrudgingly admire the guy! As often is the case, I think the music really makes the video work well. And all the people coming together to dance has a sort of “we are the world” communal hippie love feeling. :)

From a video perspective, its great; simple, emotional (albiet a bit manipulative/cheap), and well edited.Good for him, I say. He did something simple that provides a warm fuzzy feeling to all viewers.

I wonder how he coordinated all those people to rush in.
