Travel bloggers are a unique breed. At some point along our blogs’ online evolution, we write from abroad. If we’ve been in one particular country for a few weeks, we tend to adopt that local currency as our own. The styling of the widget can be quickly customized in 3 ways:

- Color
- Size
Once you’ve modified it to fit the theme of your blog, just hit the “click to get the code” button and a box will appear with the HTML code to copy and paste into your sidebar.
To give you a sense of what the widget looks like in action, you can view it in Go Backpacking’s right sidebar for the next 7 days. It’s incredibly easy to use and install, and I like the fact that it works without having to reload the web page.
My only suggestion for improving it is to provide users access to more currencies. As I’m going to be spending the second half of 2010 in Colombia, the absence of the Peso makes it less relevant to my current situation.
