Anthony Bourdain, the chef who inspired me to expand my foodie horizons by making it cool to eat animal entrails while traveling abroad, is running a contest to help promote his latest book, Medium Raw.
Bourdain’s Medium Raw Challenge poses the question, “What does it mean to cook food well?”
To enter, write and submit a short essay (no longer than 500 words) by 5 PM (EST), September 30, 2010.
The winner gets his/her writing published in the upcoming paperback edition of Bourdain’s latest bestseller, plus $10,000 cash.
Read the complete rules here.
Good luck!

Love AB, hate cooking.
So glad I came across your site on BlogExplosion! My 17 year old vegan, environmentally conscious daughter is driving me nuts about going backpacking. I hate the idea, but once she's 18 and off to college, what can one do? At least this site has a lot of great tips and will serve as a guide for unchartered territory for us.
Thanks!
Glad to have you here Alva. Sounds like your daughter is a wonderful girl. Be the parent that supports her travel desires, and she'll never forget it!
Are you planning on entering a little mini essay? I think you should :)
