Photo Favorite: The Golden Pavilion in Kyoto

The Golden Pavilion in Kyoto is exactly that, and a must see for anyone visiting the city.

It reminded me of the Golden Temple in Amritsar, India, though this one was made of wood, not solid gold.

This was one of my favorite places to visit in Japan. I loved that when I was there, much like in this photo, the sky was cloudy and overcast and it made the gold really pop. So gorgeous. The Golden Pavillion and Nijo-jo were my favorites!
