The Snow Monkey Taxi of Nagano, Japan

Snow monkey taxi in Nagano, Japan

Leaving the train station in Nagano, Japan, I encountered what may be the world’s only snow monkey taxi.

While you can make the long walk to the entrance of the park where the snow monkeys hang out, it’s faster by bus, but more stylish by taxi.

And given I was visiting Nagano on a day trip from Tokyo (thanks to the super speedy Shinkansen bullet trains), I opted for the stylish, if pricey, snow monkey taxi.
